The Structure of a Compelling Marketing Message

There are 3 things you need to know BEFORE crafting a compelling marketing message:

1. What to say.
2. How to say it.
3. Who to say it to.

In the past week, we’ve covered #1 and #3. Today, let’s look at #2: How to Say It.

When it comes to crafting a compelling message, there is a specific structure or formula to doing it.
And an easy structure to start out with is:
  • Problem
  • Agitate
  • Solve
  • Offer
In this formula, you first present the problem your prospect is having.
Next, you agitate them by bringing up other problems, challenges, and issues the main problem is causing.
Then, you show them that you can solve their problem with your product or service.
Finally, you make them an irresistible offer. One they cannot refuse.
By compiling your message (problems, solutions, features, benefits, etc.) in this fashion, in this order, you raise your chances of selling an ideal prospect.
Why? Because this formula has been proven to do so.
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. It’s smart to use what already works.
And this structure flat out works!
Now, there are more formulas than this one. However, please note that you don’t need to be fancy. You just need to be effective.
And the basics, while they’re not always “sexy”, WORK!
So use what we’ve shown you so far and start crafting your compelling message!
